microshelter
After the previous and very successful micro night at the shelter, we invite you to to welcome with us our special guest Nick Höppner – from the admired DJ and producer collective My My – a key player in the crazy Berlin Club Scene.
He will be supported by the Shanghai based micro residents Ben Huang, dji and of course tootekool.
For this occasion the venue will be transformed into a green micro art installation world. VJ Hean from Korea will be welcomed to create & expand the micro world.
My My is a group of producers and DJ’s which formed in 2003 during the rebirth of Berlin as an electronic music Mecca. Although they consider Playhouse to be their home label, they have also released on Circus Company, Aus and Ostgut Ton.
In 2006, their debut album Songs for the Gentle launched a tour of their Live show that has so far taken them to 20 countries around the globe, and they hope their second album, still in production, will take them even further.
Nicolas Höppner now balances his monthly appearances at the new Panorama Bar and Berghain with his role as label manager for the Ostgut Ton label, and studio work and touring with MyMy and as a solo DJ. http://www.myspace.com/justmymy

micro’s in The Guardian…
thanks to a certain Mr. Bozza of grand Rolling Stone fame for the mention in his article for The Guardian (UK)!
he’s good.
microshelter: the installation
we’ve spent days bargaining with electronic stall vendors, a lot of taxi time transporting strange tubing, and saying many “yes ok”(s) to random purchases of various green light lasers.
thanks to our installation artist Simon Husslein, for putting so much love into micro, with his first installation in China.
‘The Evil Twins’, Simon Husslein’s last exhibition in London. For more of his work check husslein.net.
